PC-to-Phone

PC-to-Phone service can be used from any computer connected to internet (minimum connection speed - 28.8 Kb/sec; 40 kbit/sec is recommended for a very good quality.). A full duplex sound card should be installed on the computer from which the service will be used. It is also recommended to use a headphone instead of speakers and a separate microphone.

How Does PC-to-Phone work?

1. Click here to download PC-to-Phone dialer (you will be offered to download a software, please accept)
2. Install the downloaded software of the PC-to-Phone dialer.
3. Please enter/save your PIN code in the dialer(the PIN code will be provided to you when you sign up).
4. Enter your destination number. Enter the number you wish to call in the following order: country code - area code or city code - number. Do not enter any prefixes.

Tips:

• Numbers can be dialed either using the mouse by clicking the numbers on the dial pad or by pressing the numbers on your keyboard.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. If you get an error, please make sure that saved PIN code is correct.
2. If you cannot connect to the system or you get errors then it might be because your computer is behind a firewall or proxy server. In this case, the following ports should be opened on your network in order to allow PC-to-phone service to connect with Glocall's switch: 1720 and UDP ports from 5000 to 6000.
3. If you can't hear the person you called or you cannot be heard:
   • make sure that the microphone and speakers are installed and configured correctly and are turned on;
   • make sure that the PC has a full duplex sound card. The PC-to-phone service does not work with half-duplex sound cards.
